Thought leadership

As a digital agency working in the charity and nonprofit sector, we hear time and again from organisations that our reports, toolkits, events and other resources have helped them understand how to use digital to get ahead.

Our work supports leaders in understanding what they need to do to achieve this, showing them how digital change should be ambitious but easily approached in manageable steps.

The Charity Digital Code of Practice

Our director Zoe worked with ACEVO, The Small Charities Coalition, NCVO, Office for Civil Society, The Charity Commission, Lloyds Banking Group’s Digital Inclusion Team, The Co-Op Foundation and others to develop the sector’s first digital code of practice. It helps charities to be relevant and fulfil their purpose in the digital age, create a consistent framework, and improve impact, sustainability and efficiency across the sector. It has been used by charities of all sizes and causes, from the NSPCC to World Vision UK, Talk Listen Change and Rainbow Services.

The Charity Digital Skills Report

This is our annual barometer of the digital state of the charity sector, produced in partnership with Skills Platform. It is a great resource to benchmark your organisation against, understand where the sector is at with digital, and prioritise what your charity should do next, based on trends.

Third Sector Digital Leaders Programme

Now in its fourth year, we run a digital leadership training programme for charity leaders. Applications are now open for this year’s cohorts. Find out more about the course and what our alumni say.

Do I need a digital trustee?

Charity trustees need to lead the way on digital and recruiting a digital trustee can be a great way to bring in the expertise that your charity needs. We’ve collaborated with CAST, SCVO and Reach Volunteering to produce this quick guide to help you work out your best approach.

Making digital work

Zoe Amar Digital have launched this resource with the Charity Commission and Grant Thornton UK specifically to help boards and executive teams get to grips with digital.

The Charity Digital Toolkit

We’ve developed a free toolkit in partnership with Skills Platform to help charities develop their skills in all areas of digital, from strategy to data to use of channels, fundraising, leadership and service delivery.
