Thought leadership

Our unique insights into digital and AI transformation have helped hundreds of charities navigate technological change with confidence and inclusion at their core. From our widely cited annual Charity Digital Skills Report to frameworks like the Charity Digital Code of Practice, our research shapes sector understanding and influences key decision makers across the nonprofit landscape.

We’re committed to demystifying digital and AI for charity leaders, providing resources that turn complex technological challenges into manageable, inclusive transformation journeys. Our thought leadership helps organisations strengthen resilience, grow sustainable income streams, and deepen their impact across communities through responsible innovation.

The Charity Digital Code of Practice

Our director Zoe worked with ACEVO, The Small Charities Coalition, NCVO, Office for Civil Society, The Charity Commission, Lloyds Banking Group’s Digital Inclusion Team, The Co-Op Foundation and others to develop the sector’s first digital code of practice. It helps charities to be relevant and fulfil their purpose in the digital age, create a consistent framework, and improve impact, sustainability and efficiency across the sector. It has been used by charities of all sizes and causes, from the NSPCC to World Vision UK, Talk Listen Change and Rainbow Services. The Code is now a key resource for the sector and has been updated to include AI best practice.

The Charity Digital Skills Report

This is our annual barometer of digital  and AI progress, funding and support needs across the charity sector.  It is a great resource to benchmark your organisation against, understand where the sector is at with digital, and prioritise what your charity should do next based on the latest trends and make the case for investment to funders or your board.
