It is served by Zoe Amar Communications Limited of Kemp House, 152-160 City Road London EC1V 2NX and governs the privacy of those who use this website. The purpose of this policy is to explain to you how we control, process, handle and protect your personal information while browsing or using this website, including your rights under current laws and regulations. Processing of your personal data
Under the UK GDPR we control and process any personal information about you electronically using the following lawful basis.
We use the Consent lawful basis under the UK GDPR for the processing of your information when you explicitly consent to subscribe to our email mailing list. Your information is used to send you marketing messages within the scope outlined to you at the point of subscription.
You have the right to opt out of receiving marketing messages at any time by contacting us or by using the ‘unsubscribe’ link in emails. You also have the right to withdraw your consent to marketing messages at any time.
On the Zoe Amar Digital site your personal information is stored with Mailchimp who are a third party organisation. Their Privacy Policy can be seen here. Your data will only ever be used for our newsletter, and will not be shared with anyone else.
On the Charity Digital Skills Report website your personal information will be stored securely in the backend of this WordPress website, then manually downloaded and stored with Mailchimp. It will be used for The Charity Digital Skills Report newsletter, and not shared with anyone else.
Across both websites, tools from the Google Marketing Platform, such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, are used to collect data about website users. This data is only collected when explicit consent has been provided via our cookie banner, and consent can be revoked at any time. This data is stored with Google who are a third party organisation and their privacy policy can be seen here. Google may also associate data collected from our websites with information linked to your existing Google accounts, in order to provide more accurate reporting. This data is anonymous and only used by Google if you have provided explicit consent within your Google account. To find out more about this, visit the “My Activity” section of your Google profile.
If, as determined by us, the lawful basis upon which we process your personal information changes, we will notify you about the change and any new lawful basis to be used if required. We shall stop processing your personal information if the lawful basis used is no longer relevant.

Data Retention Period for Google Analytics
After consenting to our use of Google Analytics cookies, your data is stored on Google’s Universal Analytics for 26 months, and Google Analytics 4 for 14 months. From 1st July 2023, Universal Analytics will no longer be collecting data.

Currently our website does not contain adverts, sponsored or affiliate links, neither are we working with any advertising suppliers or affiliates.
Email marketing messages & subscription
Under the UK GDPR we use the consent lawful basis mentioned above for anyone subscribing to our newsletter or marketing mailing list. We only collect certain data about you, as detailed in the “Processing of your personal data” section above. Any email marketing messages we send are done so through an Email Marketing Service provider (EMS). An EMS is a third party service provider of software or applications that allows marketers to send out email marketing campaigns to a list of users.
Email marketing messages that we send may contain tracking beacons, tracked clickable links or similar server technologies in order to track subscriber activity within email marketing messages. Where used, such marketing messages may record a range of data such as: times; dates; I.P addresses; opens; clicks; forwards; geographic and demographic data. Such data, within its limitations will show the activity each subscriber made for that email campaign.
Any email marketing messages we send are in accordance with the UK GDPR and the PECR. We provide you with an easy method to withdraw your consent (unsubscribe) or manage your preferences and the information we hold about you at any time. This can be done by clicking ‘unsubscribe’ at the bottom of any email we send you and following that link through to our Unsubscribe form.
If you wish to receive our newsletters, you have to sign up to our Mailing List via our website. In doing so, you are providing consent for us to process your personal data for the specific purpose of sending you these occasional newsletters and email updates.
We only collect email addresses and an individual’s name, although this latter item is completely optional. This data is stored within Mailchimp’s database, through whom we send our emails. You can find Mailchimp’s Privacy Policy here.
